The initial public betas for macOS Ventura, iOS 16, and iPadOS 16 are now available.
I’ve been testing MixEffect on the beta for iPadOS 16 on my M1 iPad Pro since WWDC. I identified the root cause of the crashing issue, which happened only when I tried to build and run the app using the new Xcode 14 beta. You can read more explorations into Stage Manager here. For more in-depth opinions on the new multitasking feature in iPadOS 16, check out Federico Viticci’s first month’s impressions of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 on MacStories.
The App Store versions of MixEffect should work fine on the new operating systems, but if you encounter any usability or UI issues, please let me know in the comments below. I already know that Pickers may look odd (or seem to be invisible) in the new release. If you encounter this bug, just tap where the picker should be (far-right of the screen in most cases), and the menu should appear.
