Blackmagic has a new update for its ATEM switchers. Version 9.2.1 may fix the long-standing bug with the ATEM 2 M/E Constellation HD where the switcher would send a constant stream of Multiview Input updates to the connected controller (see screenshot below). In the release notes, BMD states:

ATEM 1, 2 and 4 M/E Constellation HD:

• Improved tally and camera control.
• Improved translations for German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese languages.
• General performance and stability updates.

Users of MixEffect and the BMD Companion module have been following this bug for nine months, and I have sent BMD engineering bug reports and a reproducible test case. I do not have a 2 M/E Constellation HD available for testing, so I’m cautiously optimistic that this bug has been fixed. Fingers crossed!
